Why Kuta Beach should be on your list of places to visit

I don’t believe I’ll ever have enough positive things to say about Kuta Beach in Bali, Indonesia.

They have the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen in my life.

The water there is incredibly warm and one of the best areas to learn how to surf (no sharks)!

Although we were ‘warned’ that Kuta beach isn’t the cleanest, we had absolutely no complaints.  No litter anywhere, soft sand, blue skies and seashells galore.

We were greeted in the airport with flowers and an easy Visa on arrival, which made customs absolutely hassle free. Best way ever to start a vaca.

The beaches, as I already said, are beautiful

Bali is obsessed with the male genitalia.  I swear, everywhere we looked there were penises.  Penis bottle openers, penis decorations, penis keychains…you get the idea.

Gasoline is sold in absolute vodka bottles..which I guess means people drink a lot of vodka (always a plus in my book)!

We saw more couples with matching bathing suits then I care to remember.

Kuta Beach (along with Legian) are the centers of Bali’s night life with tons of expat restaurants, pubs, discos and super markets (however, watch out for insistent hawkers).

My favorite part of Kuta Beach? It’s only a short ride away to Ubud where there is a WILD MONKEY FOREST (for those of you that don’t know me..I am obsessed with monkeys. Literally, I don’t care about all the horror stories of monkeys attacking humans or what not…I want one for a pet. No Joke.)

I recommend Kuta Beach if you are looking for action or a night out–but really not suitable for a family vacation.
